Champagne Franck Bonville, Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut 2016 (1x75cl)

The 2016 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Pur Avize Grand Cru was picked in three Avize parcels. The five years on lees were spent under cork. Reduction, for now, owns the nose, but the palate is a beautiful picture of lemon-scented creaminess, backed by gentle and equally lemon-scented notions of Genoese sponge. Lovely concentration unites with light-footed ease, while undoubted depth serves as a backdrop, unobtrusive, effortless but present. This Extra Brut is classic, creamy and bright.
