✓ Awarded: 88 Points Vinous (Issue: October 2017) The wine is traditionally fermented and aged in barriques. 100% Nebbiolo grape. The vines of this wine are planted on southeastern facing hills at an altitude of approximately 1200 feet in a mixture of medium marl-calcareous soil. The grapes are harvested in mid-October and the production is set at 5,000 bottles. The grapes used to produce this wine are selected from young vineyards located in Prapo’ and Cerretta. It shows all the classic aspects of Nebbiolo from Barolo: medium garnet color, very distinctive aromas of red-currants, strawberry, licorice, violets and roses followed by fine structured tannins.
