Jean-Michel Guillon, Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru La Petite Chapelle 2019 (1x75cl)

An elegant, ripe and alluringly cool nose features notes of essence of plum, plenty of spice and violet nuances, all of which is trimmed in soft wood influence. The sleek, refined and pure medium-bodied flavors brim with minerality on the focused, very firm and youthfully austere finale. This in much like the La Riotte in that it is at once refined and powerful while the supporting tannic spine makes clear that this will require extended cellaring as it’s presently quite structured.
