The 2017 Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru has a tightly wound bouquet of tobacco-tinged black fruit, slightly estuarine in style, with hints of mudflats and cockle sheds emerging in the glass. The medium-bodied palate displays very supple tannin, beautifully integrated oak and a satiny, quite persistent finish. One of Leroux’s most seductive 2017s.
