An admirably deft touch of wood suffuses the ultra-fresh and equally cool aromas of apple and pear confit, citrus zest and a whiff of star anise. The freshness of the nose can also be found on the strikingly concentrated and beautifully textured medium-bodied flavors that conclude in a powerful, serious and even firmer finish. This is a knockout and villages-level wines rarely get much better than this.
