This cuvée comes from a batch of exceptional Pinot Noir vines, over 100 years old! Produced only on a batch of 6000 bottles per year, this wine comes from a very rigorous selective sorting. Aging lasts 12 months in oak barrels, 20% of which are new.
The first nose, a bit austere, develops very quickly on an immense complexity, a rare refinement on Auxey-Duresse. There are notes of wild red and black fruits, faded rose and a touch of noble leather. On the palate, this 21 is still a little tight, however, the potential is extraordinary. Very nice tannic structure which will keep this wine for at least 10 years.
