From the south-facing part of Vorbourg, lower down with a little more topsoil, the 2019 Riesling Clos Saint Landelin opens with smoke, earth and chalk, paired with a hint of dried lemon peel. More air reveals tangerine notes. The palate is concentrated, super-vivid, linear and fresh. There is mouth-watering freshness, supreme balance and an aromatic accord of herb, smoke and vivid, pervasive, delicious citrus. (Bone-dry) Drink from 2023-2060. Reviewed by Vinous in January 2023
