The family has been producing Brunello from this vineyard since 1892. Sourced from the estate’s 41 hectares in the southeast area of Montalcino. Two types of soils prevail; gravel and clay soils produce wines with power, while more sandy soils heighten aromatics. Wine Spectator: 93 Points James Suckling: 93 Points Robert Parker: 92 Points 🍷 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna del Fiore 2016 Fattoria dei Barbi’s single-vineyard Brunello bottling, Vigna del Fiore, was first produced in 1981 for the celebration of the 50th birthday of Francesca Cinelli Colombini, a pioneer and innovator of the family business. This 14-acre vineyard has been cultivated since the 16th Century. It is one of the most Eastern and oldest vineyard sites in the Brunello zone (planted in 1939). The particular exposition and composition of the soil results in a Brunello with a very elegant bouquet, balance, and added complexity. Wine Spectator: 95 Points Robert Parker: 95+ Points Antonio Galloni: 95 Points 🍷 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2016 Only produced in the best years and is sourced from a special selection of grapes collected from the best of the estate’s 41 hectares in southeast Montalcino. Extended aging in oak results in a more complex wine with a longer aging potential. Sourced from the estate’s 41 hectares in the southeast area of Montalcino. Two types of soils prevail; gravel and clay soils produce wines with power, while more sandy soils heighten aromatics. Wine Spectator: 95 Points & #2 Wine of the Year 2022 Robert Parker: 95+ Points Antonio Galloni: 94 Points
