Six generations in Côte de Nuits, winegrowers since the Sun King. At Domaine de la Poulette, they know very well how to prune a vine and what makes good wine. The women of the family have been the driving force for centuries and today it is François Michaut and daughter Hélène who seek to keep the bar high. The profile is cold-fermented wines with finesse in meters and that very special juiciness, which must almost be in the genes of the winemaker.
The Michaut family make this wine – their intro wine at an unheard of high level – from a field that once belonged to the local priest, who was allowed to grow it for his own use as part of his salary. Juicy and easy to drink and with a slightly lower level of acidity due to the mixture of Pinot Beurot and Pinot Noir. A wine that invites you to sing, dance and enjoy life in general.
