The family-owned and run company of Maison Louis Latour for more than 200 years is one of Burgundy’s oldest and most respected wine producers. Founded in 1797, the company today remains under original family control and is both a grower of vines and a producer of fine wines from Burgundy.
Maison Louis Latour is one of the most innovative producers in Burgundy whilst maintaining its traditional image. With a view to expanding the business in 1979, the valley of the Ardèche river with its clay and limestone-based soils was chosen as the ideal location to produce a top-quality Chardonnay wine. The Chardonnay d'Ardèche is aged in stainless steel vats for approximately 10 months. It is a fresh and easy to drink wine.
The Chardonnay de l'Ardèche has a lovely golden yellow colour with green reflections. It reveals an attractive nose with notes of apple. It has a lovely length in the mouth; a balanced and mineral wine.
