Richard Hamilton has outstanding estate vineyards, some of great age, all fully mature. An experienced and skilled winemaking team has allowed the full potential of those vineyards to be realised. Being able to keep only the best parcels for the Richard Hamilton brand is an enormous advantage. Hamilton is one of the original Australian winemaking families.
In 1837 Richard Hamilton founded the Hamilton Vineyards, just south of Adelaide. It was planted with stock brought by the family from South Africa, en route from England.
