Discreet though perceptible wood frames ripe fruit aromas that derive more from the red side of the spectrum along with pretty nuances of violet, anise and earth. There is a really lovely texture to the muscular and well-delineated flavors that, somewhat like the Cazetiers, offer good but not special density in the context of the vintage, while delivering fine length on the overtly austere, robust and serious finale. This is really quite good though it too is presently very tightly wound.
